The Newfoundland and Labrador Police and Peace Officers' Memorial Site.
On May 23, 2003 the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador officially
proclaimed the last Sunday in September of every year as Newfoundland
and Labrador Police and Peace Officers’ Memorial Day. The Provincial
Memorial Day gives Newfoundlanders and Labradorians an opportunity
each year to formally express appreciation for the dedication of police
and peace officers who made the ultimate, tragic sacrifice
while protecting our property, natural resources
and keeping our communities safe.
This site has been established to provide those who are involved with
the Memorial an opportunity to stay informed.
